The tools and their rules and the carpenters—what are we trying to “guide”? Here’s the question: What sorts of pedagogy are appropriate/effective/reasonable during guided reading? What do non-reading specialist types want to ask about guided reading and leveled books? It would be great to learn about experiences in the zone from Reading Recovery teachers, as I’ve said among the most effective clinicians I’ve seen though I don’t know if the word “clinician” is the right word given its whiff of therapy, etc.
