Deep apologies for three editing errors that dramatically change the meaning of three sentences. I proofed this thing eight times and still missed them. Because the original post goes out to you in an email, those mistakes are baked in the text. I made corrections and updated the file on Substack. If you can’t square the sense of the text in a few spots, please ask me to clarify. An alternative is to open the post inside a Substack app. You can also search for the text in Google and pull it up in a browser.
I should take this opportunity to encourage you to get the app. It is becoming a community of serious, empathic, and entertaining writers. The Notes culture (an internal Twitter) is a wild place, but very interesting. I read several writers and also collaborate with a few. Janet and Matt have stacks. Anybody else? Make yourself known:)
As a bonus for reading this bonus, I’m including a song. I’ve gotten through my reflection on every recording from the last gig and found a recording of a Beatles cover the best we’ve done it live. The only downside is the noise of the gas generators on either side of our popup. An old graybeard like me stopped by to give us a thumbs up. A little kid showed up; you can hear him at the end.
